The Global Greeter Network

Greeter Lyn had the most amazing time with guest Karine from Marseilles. Karine has been blind since birth. First stop was a fantastic ‘touch tour’ of the Opera House followed by some samplings from The Rocks food festival inspired by Australia’s various native ingredients including quandong and chilli chicken wings and lemon myrtle pannacotta with wild berries, rosella flower and macadamia nuts!
Karine had mentioned she was interested in hearing some jazz so they experienced both a suburban “Jazz in the Garden” concert at Hornsby Lisgar (Camellia) Gardens and later a session of old time jazz at one of Sydney’s oldest pubs, the Hero of Waterloo. The highlight was discovering Karine is a very accomplished jazz pianist herself and she was invited to play with the resident musicians for a couple of numbers. She was an enormous hit with the regulars and we were besieged by offers of free drinks from the appreciative crowd #SydneyGreeters The Global Greeter Network Sydney Opera House The Hero Of Waterloo Hotel
